October 2007 SmartLife ‘friends and family’ event

 

Investors, researchers, University of Manchester colleagues and SmartLife’s management team joined together during

October to celebrate the company’s achievements. 

Successful development and testing of the company’s garment system demonstrator has been recognised in further investments. The Northwest Regional Development Agency awarded SmartLife an exceptional Research and Development grant for ramping up the development of several garment prototype solutions.  And seed funds from the Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF) will support further development and expansion.

Mark Pedley, chief executive of SmartLife says: “Our event was a real success, bringing together everyone who has worked so hard to position SmartLife’s commercial success as the emergent leader in the design and development of wearable monitoring systems for human vital signs”.
