If controlling officers were able to continually monitor the health and position of all their fire-fighters, decisions could be made enabling a rescue operation to be more efficient, successful and ultimately save lives.
SmartLife® has developed an exciting and innovative product that allows for this monitoring to take place.
The garments intended for use with fire-fighters measure ECG, hear rate, temperature, respiration and other things essential for fire-fighters’ safety. We can even add a GPS so that people would know exactly where the guy is in the fire.
Data is collected continuously in real time and is available in real time for immediate analysis and use making it an extremely powerful tool for the lives of first responders.
We’ve done successful ECG testing which gives us high enough definition to be able to detect Heart Attack or stress in the heart, as well as derive simple heart rates. The respiration sensors have been developed so that we can look at breathing rates and also combine those to produce a measurement of energy expenditure and therefore limit whether fire-fighters are suffering from any sort of fatigue.
SmartLife® garments are easy to use and wear and the user can enjoy their normal lifestyle without noticing the garment and the transmission taking place.
The monitoring of fire-fighters and the ability particularly to gauge temperature by a third party will address a series of worldwide issues.
