Joe has over 43 years experience in the fibers, textile and apparel industry. He completed a highly successful career spanning 28 years with DuPont, the last 10 of which were as Research and Development Director in charge of world-wide research in all fiber types. He headed the pioneering research laboratory in Wilmington Delaware.
In 1992, following the establishment of his own consulting company he was asked to serve as the first director of the National Textile Center University Research Consortium (NTC).
Joe furthers the industry by serving on the governing boards of The Fiber Society and the Textile Institute. He has also served on the advisory boards at the Textile Clothing/Technology Corporation, Institute of Textile Technology and TRI, Princeton.
In 2000, Joe was awarded The Textile Institute Medal for outstanding contribution to the industry. Joe joined the SmartLife Board in 2004
